She is housebroken, likes to lay in your lap, walks very nice on the leash, loves to retrieve stuffed animals (we're working on returning them), and rides very well in the car. She is still a little mouthy when she gets excited and because of that we recommend no young children at this time. She doesn't mind you playing with her food at all when she's eating. I have the most beautiful brown eyes, and it even looks like I’m wearing eyeliner. I’m a little shy at first, and skittish in new situations. I just need your help building my confidence back up. I’m great with other dogs, and I walk very nicely on the leash. I love to be petted, and I’m a little ticklish on my back. When you scratch me there, I’ll shake a leg. I was found as a stray, but I must have had a home at some time, because I had already been neutered. I’m ready to enjoy the comforts of home and the joy of having a family of my own. Good with kids: Yes Housebroken: Yes Special needs: None Animal Control was contacted about a back yard full of dogs and unhealthy living conditions. When they got there, they found a yard with about 10 dogs, no food, dirty water, and improper shelter. After Bizzy was rescued, FOHA offered take her in. Bizzy was terrified at the other shelter, but as soon as the FOHA volunteer took her out of her run, she followed the volunteer everywhere, and was great at the vet. Bizzy is an adorable little dog who still has lots to learn. Whomever has the patience will surely be rewarded by this amazing little girl. He stayed in a foster home for 10 days before coming out to our shelter, and did really well with the two boys (2 and 4 years old) in addition to the two young dogs that lived there. I was brought to FOHA by my family, whom I had loved for five years. I had chewed a towel and swallowed a bit of it, and my family could not afford the surgery I needed to remove it. I guess my family’s idea of loving me was to feed me a lot, because the vet said I was overweight. FOHA paid for my surgery, and now I’m on the road to recovery and weight loss. Nah! I’m great with children, great with other dogs and cats, and already housetrained. On top of that, I have a calm, gentle and friendly personality. What more could you ask for? 	Petit Bleu de Gascogne (Female/Young/47 lbs.) I am thought to be a Petit Bleu de Gascogne, which is a breed that is more common in France than in the U.S., but that just makes me extra special! I am a wonderfully sweet dog who has been loving life in my foster home! I love being around people of all ages, especially children. I enjoy playing on my own with my toys, as well as going on friendly romps with the two other dogs that live in my foster home. I have very good house manners, and though I still have not perfected my housetraining, I'm well on my ways! After so long in the shelter, who can blame me? I'm working on basic commands, and am very eager to please. I walk very nicely on a leash, but am just as content to curl up and take long naps. Either the couch or my crate will do just fine for me! My foster mom says that I am the perfect dog for any family that’s looking for a well-behaved, easy-going, playful couch potato. For a hound, I bark very rarely too! Our owners said we were dumped on them, and then they turned around and dumped us again. Funny how that works, it’s no fun being dumped. Everyone loved me and they would all take turns caring for me, but with my puppies on the way, no one wanted to take me full time. I was taken to the pound, and once my puppies found homes, I was left all alone. That’s when FOHA stepped in, and now I have a chance to find a home for myself. A family brought me home when I was 8 weeks old, but apparently, they didn't realize that puppies don't arrive perfectly trained, so they left me at a county shelter after I chewed on a shoe. I ran out of time at the county shelter, but fortunately FOHA came to my rescue and found me a loving foster home so I could get some one-on-one training and TLC. It's hard to believe that I've been through so much in my life, and I'm not even a year old! I am extremely smart and eager to please, I love other dogs, I get along okay with cats, and I'd be great with older kids. In addition, I ride well in the car, and enjoy going for walks.
